Inca stones

The top picture are stones that were gathered up from destroyed buildings. Some walls were incorporated right into the churches. This is the cathedral Santo Domingo. Check out the fit on the stones in the Inca walls. No steel tools.

  1. As you are finding out, there are wonderful and well-preserved "ruins" everywhere, even in metro Cusco. After a while, you will be driving along and say "what - more ruins?" There are some that you will want to see for sure that are easy to get to: Tipon, Pisac, Ollantaytambo to name a few, and others that aren't even named.

Hope you are all adjusted in and loving it. Are you expert taxi negotiators yet?
"oh seƱor, somos misioneros pobre, no turisto rico, menos por favor"

Got all your technology working? Do you have a US-based phone number to call, like Magic Jack or Vonage?

We go to the Poulsen's mission report next Sunday. Drove down from Davis Co today (slop, cold, and gunk) to St George (nice).

    Con amor,
