Coming back from Andahuaylas a couple of weeks ago I asked President Herrera if we could stop at the Saywite stone. It is not very far from the road. It is very interesting. Javier Caceres said it is a map. Anyway pretty interesting.
I say it is what they trained their apprentice stone carvers on. Very intricate, complicated. Somewhat like a puzzle. If you pour water on the top, it will all run off, with none left on the stone. Very clever. Also, the wall next to it is very old, and the cement used to hold the stones together is still intact - so much better than the crap they call concrete here.
