Dentist

Susan had a tooth get a little sore so she went to Dr Carrasco. She ended getting the cap taken off and is waiting for a new one. I know going to the dentist is a real gamble but he really works hard to do a good job. He is one of the famous Carrasco brothers. Going into the office is like going back in time 50 years.

  1. You are so brave for going to a Cusco dentist, even Dr. Carrasco. I likewise had a dental problem, and we flew to Lima to an American expat dentist recommended by Elder Hasler. Her office was every bit as modern as any in the US - all new, clean, and the latest digital stuff. But if you want cheap implants, Cusco is the place - if you dare.

Hope your health has been great. We had a few little tummy and other small burbles, but came through pretty much without any serious problems, for which we are so thankful. After a while we toughened up to some of the less than strictly sanitary items, but we never did eat from the street carts, except popcorn.

We waited for buses next to braziers - it wasn't the meat that we were concerned about, but how the recycled the kabob sticks. And the drink vendors shoshed the used glasses around in cold water, then used them again. The sliced pineapple was always tempting, but we saw some of the places the hands went, and passed on that treat as well.
