Just things

We got sick of the graffiti on the walls of the church so we got paint and painted over it. I think we have enough paint to last the rest of our mission.
The new branch president in the branch La Cultura in Puerto. He is a convert of three years and is a very good man. There has been so much financial trouble there that we need to change more. He has a motorcycle shop and has a moto taxi so he took me all over town and showed me the sights. I really enjoyed it. We have so many friends wherever we go, I really love it. His name is President Herrera.
Oh by the way, They are putting a second floor on the church in Puerto and are going to put another floor on the church in Abancay. That will start in May. I think they are even thinking of another floor in Andahuaylas.
This is Hermana Alicia in the Inti Raymi ward. She has had so many problems in her life. She lost her leg at the age of eleven and now has a bag because of problems in her intestines. She went on a mission and has done temple work for all her family. She learned some English on her mission and wants to learn more. We visit her quite a lot so we got her a Bible in English so she can practice. One day when I was traveling Susan left her keys locked in the apartment so she had to spend the whole day with Alicia. She made Susan lay down and take a nap, fed her and everything. It was an interesting experience for Susan.

My Cousin was coming to town and told me she was bringing a friend. It turned out to be President Nelsons daughter. When President Monson died we thought they wouldn't be able to make it but she said "Daddy said I should come'. We spent a few days with them. President Nelsons secretary was on the phone though making sure she would be home in time for the announcement on Tuesday. Javier Caceres was not going to miss this photo opportunity.

  1. Sounds like good things are happening - many of which are the result of your work and dedication.
