Field Trip

For some unknown reason Susan and I ended up on a field trip with the kids in the Stake. We went to the temple of the Moon then hiked a full circle above Cusco and back to the church. It was a long hike but there were different Inca structures all the way. I am so amazed at what those people did with rocks. BIG ROCKS!

  1. What? More ruins? Oh, you're in Cusco. It's amazing that there are so many of them - and most of them aren't even on the tourist maps.

There is a completely intact baptismal font just on the NE edge of town. If you haven't seen it yet - or the missionaries don't know where it is, let me know and I can give you the GPS coordinates. It's a pretty easy hike. We held a multi-zone conference there, so some of the missionaries have probably been there. I would say it is a "must see" for its Book of Mormon connection, where "thousands" were baptized.
